Mexican Beaded Lizard
I came across the stump of this ancient tree, whilst hiking in the deserts of Arizona. As soon as I saw it I knew that it would make the perfect background for a painting of a Gila Monster or Beaded Lizard as it climbed around in its search for a bird nest full of eggs or chicks.
